Heavy delays on SSP eastbound

Heavy police presence in the Southern State Parkway eastbound at Nassau Road in Roosevelt reporting police chase. This was a traffic stop on the local road and the driver bailed out. Then multiple shots fired. One suspect in custody after jumping out of the vehicle, Ford Fusion. Driver is in the hunt by the Nassau police. Ongoing investigation.

Update - Driver busted in Freeport and taken into custody.
