Suspect arrested for burglary in Great Neck

The Sixth Squad reports the arrest of a Great Neck man for a Burglary that occurred on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 10:52 a.m. in Great Neck.

According to Detectives, a female employee arrived at her business, the Brown Academy, located at 55 Northern Boulevard, and found a damaged door lock to her front office. The victim reviewed her security camera footage and observed a male subject forcibly enter multiple rooms and rummage through office items. The subject fled the scene on foot. The victim called 911 and responding officers began an investigation. After reviewing the security footage, an officer recognized the subject from prior incidents. Detectives responded to the residence of the defendant David Mintz, 38, of 4616 Iris Lane, and placed him into custody without further incident.

The defendant David Mintz has been charged with Burglary 3rd Degree and Criminal Mischief 4th Degree. He was arraigned on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 in Mineola.
