Shooting and coronavirus update

For bullets and victims, NYPD reported 1 shot dead and 1 in custody after police involved shooting. This was after a man with machete ran after a woman and her dog. 1 shot dead in the Bronx who is a former Long Island resident, James Kurian, 35. 1 shot dead in Brooklyn. 2 shot in stable condition. 

For coronavirus, statewide reported 154,949 tested with 13,422 positive cases at 8.66% total ratio. 144 deaths and 7,892 total hospitalizations. The governor will announce if Javits Center need to use for extra hospitalization. For NYC, 3,269 positive cases with 242 new hospitalizations. The 7 day average positivity rate is 7.93%. 

Vax Update: Approximately 203,000 New Yorkers to date have received one dose of the vax.
