Fatal accident of new year in Queens

Police report two people dead in Far Rockaways involving multiple vehicle accident. It happened around 5am on Dickens Street near Rockaway Freeway. The driver involving the accident took off on foot. A passenger was taken into custody and charged with DWI. This is the first fatal accident involving DWI in Queens. This is involving a vehicle and truck. Police are searching for the truck driver. The victims are a 57 year old male and 67 year old female in the Nissan Rogue. The other vehicle is a Dodge Ram.
