Stabbing reported in Roosevelt

The First Squad reports the arrest of a male Juvenile for an Assault that occurred on Friday, January 1, 2021 at 3:55 AM in Roosevelt.

According to Detectives, First Precinct Officers responded to a call on Madison Avenue for a male who had been stabbed. Upon arrival officers located the male victim, 19 with a stab wound to his wrist who stated he had just been stabbed by a male who fled the scene northbound on Nassau Road in a 2021 Lexus. After a thorough investigation officers were able to locate the vehicle and after conducting a Vehicle and Traffic Law Stop at the intersection of Nassau Road and Argyle Avenue the juvenile was placed under arrest without incident. The victim was transported by a Nassau County Police Department Ambulance to a local Hospital for treatment.

The defendant is charged with Assault 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree. He will be arraigned on Friday, January 1, 2021 in Mineola.
